First opened in 1900, the park featured a gymnasium and playground. In 1903 the park was reconfigured to feature outdoor tennis and track facilities. Another overhaul in 1936 provided swimming as the new main feature. A major restoration, completed in 1992 restored the swimming pool as well as basketball & handball courts and the childrens' playground.
